NV Evening Planner helps you discover nightlife venues, spin the roulette for surprise picks, and plan your perfect evening. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you use our mobile application ("the App") and its companion website at nightout2275.com, how we use it, and the choices you have. Information We Collect
Automatically Collected Information
When you open the App for the first time, a few things happen in the background to get everything working smoothly:
- Anonymous identifier. The App generates a random, anonymous identifier that is unique to your installation. It helps us understand usage patterns without knowing who you are. This identifier is stored on your device and is not linked to your name, email, or any other personal detail.
- Device language and region. We detect your device's language setting so the App can display content in the right language.
- Google Advertising ID. The App reads the advertising identifier provided by Google Play Services. We use this for attribution — understanding how you discovered the App (for example, through an ad or an organic search). You can reset this identifier or opt out of personalized advertising at any time in your device settings under Settings > Google > Ads.
- Attribution data. We collect information about where you came from when you installed the App — such as the advertising source and campaign name — to measure which channels work best. This data is collected with the help of AppsFlyer, a third-party attribution service.
Built-in Browser
The App includes a built-in browser used to display the Privacy Policy and the Support page directly within the App. The built-in browser supports cookies (including third-party cookies) and local storage as part of standard browser functionality. Websites loaded inside the built-in browser may set their own cookies and store data locally on your device. The built-in browser does not collect any additional data beyond what is described in this section. Any websites you visit through the built-in browser operate under their own privacy practices.
Support and Bug Reports
The App's Support page lets you send us a message or report a bug. When you submit a support request, you may provide:
- Your name and email address
- A description of your question or the issue you encountered
- An optional file attachment — you can take a photo or video using your device's camera, or choose an existing file (such as a screenshot, image, or document) through your device's file picker
This information is submitted only when you choose to send a support request. We use it solely to respond to your inquiry and resolve the reported issue. The App itself does not access your camera directly — photo and video capture is handled entirely by your device's built-in camera app.
Local Data Storage
The App stores your preferences, saved venues, itineraries, notification settings, and other choices locally on your device. This data stays on your phone and is not transmitted to our servers. You can clear it at any time through the Settings screen within the App or by clearing app data in your device settings.
How We Use Your Information
We keep things simple — we use the information we collect to:
- Make the App work (localization, personalization, saving your preferences)
- Understand how people find and install the App so we can improve our outreach
- Respond to your support requests
- Analyze general usage patterns to make the App better for everyone
Third-Party Services
We work with the following third-party service to help us understand how users discover the App:
AppsFlyer — provides mobile attribution and marketing analytics. We share your anonymous identifier, advertising ID, and attribution data (installation source, campaign name) with AppsFlyer. AppsFlyer also collects device information (such as IP address, device model, and operating system version) as part of its standard operation. We do not sell your personal information to anyone.
Data Retention
- Anonymous identifier — stays on your device until you clear app data or uninstall the App.
- Google Advertising ID — managed by Google Play Services; you can reset it in your device settings at any time.
- Attribution data — retained by AppsFlyer according to their data retention policies.
- Cookies and local storage — follow standard browser expiration rules; cleared when you clear app data.
- Locally stored data (favorites, itineraries, preferences) — remains on your device until you delete it through the App or clear app data.
Data Security
We take reasonable steps to protect your information. Data transmitted between the App and our servers is encrypted. However, no method of electronic transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Your Choices
You are in control of your data. Here is what you can do:
- Reset your Advertising ID — go to your device's Settings > Google > Ads to reset the identifier or opt out of personalized advertising.
- Clear local data — use the "Clear All Data" option in the App's Settings screen, or clear app data through your device settings.
- Manage cookies — clearing app data removes all cookies and local storage set by websites within the built-in browser.
- Uninstall the App — removing the App deletes all locally stored data, including the anonymous identifier.
- Request data deletion — contact us at the email below and we will delete any data we hold about you.
Children's Privacy
The App is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have inadvertently collected information from a child, please contact us immediately and we will delete it.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Effective" date at the top. We encourage you to check back occasionally so you stay informed.
